Tejido colectivo de 3 muñecas chilotas con las Hilanderas de Camahue, grupo de mujeres tejedoras huilliche. Durante 3 meses experimentamos todo el proceso del tejido: el cuidado de las ovejas, limpieza y teñido de lana en base a plantas, diseño y tejido. Su relleno fue elaborado con residuos materiales (plumavit) que las compañías salmoneras arrojan al mar y son arrastrados a las playas. Una vez terminadas se realizaron intervenciones en distintos lugares de la isla.
A-Isladas was a project of collective weaving of 3 Chiloé dolls with the Hilanderas de Camahue, a group of Huilliche women weavers. During 3 months, we experienced and learned the whole process of weaving: caring for the sheep, cleaning and dyeing wool with plants, design and weaving. The filling was elaborated with wasted material (plumavit) that salmon farming companies throw into the sea and are dragged to the beaches. Once finished, several interventions were carried out in different places on the island.
