Tomo la estrella de la bandera chilena como referente histórico relacionado con el Pueblo Mapuche. En su creación, esta estrella estaba basada en la Wüñelfe, lucero del amanecer, estrella de 8 puntas de gran importancia para la cultura mapuche. Esta inspiración inicial fue modificada con el tiempo, borrando el pasado indígena quedando en la actual estrella de 5 puntas.

I took the star of the Chilean flag as a historical reference related to the Mapuche people. In its creation, this star was based on the Wüñelfe, the sunrise star, an eight-pointed star of great importance to the Mapuche culture. This initial inspiration was modified over time, erasing the indigenous past and leaving the current five-pointed star.
